We set out to write Loud Enough as a song strictly about the characteristics of God. We wanted to sing about who He is, not about who He is in context of what He’s done for us. After a long conversation with Michelle Gagne about the concept of this song, we realized how incredibly difficult it is for anyone to understand who God says he is without having experienced his goodness and his love. She explained to us that is easier for the nonbeliever to comprehend what God isn’t rather than all the things he is. This inspired the lyrics, “You don’t change. You don’t waver. I can trust Your name. You are faithful.” After we started focusing on God’s goodness and his holiness, the song wrote itself.
